2020 Pembroke Gates' Scholars-Elect Announced

Congratulations to the five Gates Scholars-elect who will be joining Pembroke in October 2020.

Madeleine Hahne, PhD Geography (USA)

Mine Koprulu, PhD Medical Sciences (Turkey)

Olin Moctezuma-Burns, PhD History & Philosophy of Science (USA)

Anita Williams, MPhil Technology Policy (USA)

In total, 77 students from 30 different countries and 17 educational institutions will make up the 2020 cohort.

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship programme was launched in 2000, thanks to a $210 million donation from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Since 2001, 65 Gates Cambridge Scholars have been selected to study at Pembroke.
