Apply now for the 2016 Pembroke-King’s Programme!

Applications for the Pembroke-King’s Programme (PKP) have opened, and the 350 students offered places on next summer’s eight-week programme will be able choose three academic courses from the wide selection on offer in the Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Economics, Business and Management, and Science and Maths.

Around 50 courses will be available in 2016, including such varied subjects as Creativity and Business Innovation, The Behavioural Ecology of Animals and Humans, Crime and Criminal Justice, Literary London: The Narratives, Characters and (Sub)Cultures of the British Metropolis, and a new course in Environmental Science.

PKP students can also experience the Cambridge supervision system by applying to do the independent supervision option in place of one of their three courses. To give a sense of the scope of possibilities, students last summer worked on topics as wide-ranging as the causes and effects of disparities and stigma in China’s mental health system; nuclear smuggling in Georgia; approaches to improving child witness testimony; and treatments for spinal cord injury.
