Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet to perform at Pembroke

Pembroke College is delighted to be hosting the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet for a special performance on Friday 13th February 2015.

Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quartet 1The concert is being held in honour of Sir Richard Dearlove, who is currently serving his final year as Master of the College. It is an invitation-only event, but all current students, Fellows and staff of the College have been given the opportunity to apply for tickets.

Sir Richard says: “I am thrilled about this world-renowned wind quintet performing at Pembroke. It will be a very special musical event for the College.”

The Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet has received worldwide critical acclaim and numerous accolades. Many of their recordings have become definitive and some critics claim that they are redefining the sound of the classic wind quintet.

The repertoire for their concert at Pembroke includes music by Mozart, Paul Hindemith and Carl Nielsen.
