Inaugural Cambridge Lecture in Islamic Art

On Tuesday 10th February, Pembroke College will host the inaugural lecture in the series of Cambridge Lectures in Islamic Art.

Doris Behrens-Abouseif, Khalili Professor Emerita of Islamic Art at SOAS, University of London will speak on 'Mamluk Diplomacy: Shared material culture and self-image'.

The lecture will start at 5.30 pm in the Nihon Room. Drinks and a reception will follow.

This event celebrates the establishment of the Fari Sayeed Fellowship in Pembroke, currently held by Dr Unver Rustem.

The event is sponsored by the Pembroke Shahnama Centre for Persian Studies.
