Launch of the Online Summer Research Programme

The International Programmes department is incredibly excited to announce the launch of the Online Summer Research Programme at Pembroke College, Cambridge.

Offering academically curious and self-motivated students the opportunity to experience the Cambridge style of learning, the programme will immerse participants in a research topic that they either propose themselves or choose from a list of suggested subject areas and research questions.

The individualised nature of Cambridge teaching and learning is at the core of our programme, so over four weeks participants will conduct research and produce a body of high-quality work under the one-to-one guidance of their dedicated supervisor.

While academic content is at the heart of the programme, we are also keen to foster a community among our programme participants. So, outside of supervisions and academic research, students will have access to a number of online networking and social events, culminating in a final event showcasing outstanding research conducted on the programme.

Dr Daniela Passolt, Director of International Programmes, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer the Online Summer Research Programme and extend to students around the world a virtual invitation to Pembroke College. It’s a wonderful opportunity to develop deep subject knowledge and experience the Cambridge supervision style of learning.”

This year’s programme runs from 12 July to 8 August 2021, and applications for 2021 are now open.
