Pembroke PhD candidate involved in major archaeological discovery in Central Greece
Emily Wright (2014) was part of an archaeological team that this summer made a major discovery near Orchomenos in Boeotia, central Greece. The excavations were conducted by the Greek Ministry of Culture & Sports/Ephorate of Antiquities of Boeotia and the British School at Athens/University of Cambridge, and led to the discovery of a monumental Mycenaean rock-cut chamber tomb. The tomb dates to the mid-14th century BC. You can read the full article on the British School at Athens website.
