Professor Norman Davies launches new book: Beneath Another Sky

Professor Norman Davies launched his latest book, Beneath Another Sky: A Global Journey into History, at Pembroke this week. Professor Davies is a distinguished historian and visiting scholar at Pembroke this term.  In the book Professor Davies explores the history of places he had not previously visited and uncovering the stories of people who live there. Since the beginning of time humans have travelled, either settling empty lands or pushing out people who were already there. Professor Davies asks the question, to whom is a land truly native?
