Start of the Fall Semester Programme 2021

Last week the International Programmes Department was delighted to welcome 30 students on the Fall Semester Programme 2021.

Having been carefully selected from leading higher education institutions in the US, this year’s cohort have been warmly welcomed into the UK and life at Pembroke. While settling into their new surroundings, our students have so far attended academic and practical orientation sessions, started supervisions, and will soon have drinks hosted by the Master of Pembroke College.

Laura Stoker, Semester Programmes Manager, said: “After being unable to run the programme last year due to the COVID pandemic, it’s so wonderful to be able to welcome semester students to Pembroke again and see them experience Cambridge for the first time. I hope they have a great few months with us and are able to make the most of the experience.”

The Fall Semester Programme offers students studying at institutions across the world the opportunity to study at Pembroke for an extended Michaelmas term (equivalent to one semester). Not only do semester students matriculate as full members of Pembroke College, but they also matriculate as full members of the University and can access the full range of academic and non-academic facilities and services available to Cambridge undergraduates.

We wish our students a great start to the academic year and their time in the UK.
