Statement on Undergraduate Admissions 2020

Pembroke recognises that this year’s admissions round has been challenging for everybody and distressing for some.

As in every year, we have balanced academic grades with contextual factors. Each offer holder has been reviewed individually, by a number of academics and support staff. In assessing candidates who have not met their offers, we have considered their academic record and reference, personal statement, performance in any written assessments, contextual data, and performance at interview. We have been as flexible as possible in making adjustments to offers. As in previous years, this careful assessment has allowed us to confirm places for a significant number of students with A-level grades below our original offers.

The College has guaranteed to honour any offer met or exceeded as a result of the appeal process.  All this year’s offer holders who take autumn exams will be able to roll-over their offer to 2021. We are offering support and advice to students who have missed their offer.
