University Promotions for Pembroke Fellows

Four Pembroke Fellows have received promotions from the University of Cambridge.

Gos Micklem has been promoted to a Professorship in the Department of Genetics, where he runs an interdisciplinary research group which uses computational and laboratory techniques to carry out basic and applied research in biology.

Two Pembroke Fellows have been elevated to readerships. Dr Hugo Bronstein researches the synthesis of novel conjugated materials for use in organic solar cells, light emitting diodes and transistors within the Department of Chemistry. Dr Nick Jones is based in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy and works on developing materials and technologies to improve efficiency within the aerospace industry.

Dr Rebecca Laemmle has been made a Senior Lecturer in Greek Literature in the Department of Classics.

The College would like to congratulate Gos, Hugo, Nick and Rebecca on their promotions, which take effect today, Thursday 1st October 2020.
