What does China want? – 2nd Annual China Goes Global Lecture

Rob Gifford, correspondent at The Economist, will deliver the 2nd China Goes Global Lecture on Thursday 12 March.

Rob joined The Economist in 2011 and was until recently was the magazine’s China Editor. He has spent much of the past two decades studying, visiting, and reporting on the country. He has also worked as a correspondent for the American broadcaster NPR, based in Beijing and Shanghai, and before that for the BBC World Service. In 2007 he published his first book, China Road: A Journey into the Future of a Rising Power. The book recounts a 3,000-mile journey he made from Shanghai to the Kazakh border.

The lecture will be held in Lecture Room 3, Cambridge Judge Business School at 5.30pm. Tea and biscuits will be available from 5pm in the CJBS Common Room. All are welcome but spaces are limited. Tickets can be booked through Eventbrite:
