A Feat of Pemgineering
A rather unique Christmas decoration has appeared in the foyer of Pembroke Library.

Last year, the 2nd-year engineering students at Pembroke (‘Pemgineers’, as they are also known) were asked to help decorate the library foyer. They agreed, and after a few hours’ work had constructed an impressive Christmas tree out of books.
This year, College Librarian Pat Aske contacted the 2nd-year engineers to suggest another project: an igloo made out of books. The Pemgineers readily accepted Pat’s challenge.
On Sunday night, ten students spent two and a half hours fashioning the igloo out of books from the library's collection. Gwilym Rowbottom took the time-lapse video above of their efforts.
