Pembroke College Cambridge

The Pembroke Graduands' Council

The Graduands' Council (GC) is a historic philanthropic initiative amongst finalists to fundraise from their peers to support the following cohorts of Pembroke students with a Class Gift.

The 2023/24 Graduands' Council are fundraising for both Enhanced Student Bursaries and student green spaces on the Mill Lane site (the latter with a corresponding plaque to commemorate our efforts, usually only reserved for alumni). Those who donate will be sent a link to a voting page* to select the cause that most resonates with them.

The Graduands’ Council is delighted to also announce that an alumnus has very kindly agreed to match an additional £1,000 toward the 2023/24 GC Enhanced Student Bursary!

*Unlike previous years, the 2023/24 Class Gift will not be given solely to the area the majority of students vote for en masse. This year, individuals can direct their donation specifically to the aforementioned fundraising area of their personal choice.

We are suggesting an “ongoing” Direct Debit of £13.47 per year to give a nod to the founding of Pembroke, which you can cancel anytime. Of course, any amount is welcome – but at the equivalent of only just over £1 per month, we hope this seems accessible. Click here to donate now!

The standing record for the Graduands’ Council (formerly known as the Pembroke Leavers’ Group, or PLG) is 50.7% participation, and £5,226 raised – we’re confident that the 2023/24 graduands can smash it!

(Please note that the yearly class record for the total raised will only reflect donations made by students).
