Applications

To apply for the Online Capstone Programme at Pembroke College you will need to be at least 18 years old by the time the programme starts, be prepared and equipped to study online, and ideally be enrolled in a course of study at a higher education institution.

Applications received after the programme is full may be placed on a waiting list. If this is the case, the International Programmes Department will contact you.

Receiving an Offer

The International Programmes department will aim to communicate the outcome of your application within 10 working days of receiving all of your application materials.

Upon receiving an offer to join the programme, you have two weeks from the date of the offer to secure your place by paying the programme fee. If you do not secure your place by the deadline, then your offer of a place will expire.

If International Programmes is obliged to cancel the programme for any reason, you will receive a full refund of the fee paid.

If we are unable to find a suitable supervisor for your chosen Capstone Project or requested dates, we will first discuss this with you and where possible identify suitable alternatives. If this is not possible and you are therefore unable to participate in the programme, we will provide a full refund.

You will be expected to communicate with your supervisor before the start of the programme to arrange your supervisions. Failure to engage promptly with your supervisor or the programme (defined as failure to respond to email contact within 48 hours, particularly in the week before the start of the programme and at any point during the programme) will result in you being withdrawn from the programme. If there are extenuating circumstances, you must let us know as soon as possible, and in advance wherever possible. We will contact you using only the email address provided as part of your application.

Changes to Capstone Projects

The International Programmes Department reserves the right to alter or cancel any Capstone Project on the programme should illness or unavoidable changes in circumstance prevent a supervisor from teaching. The Department will make all efforts, should such an event arise, to provide a suitable substitute supervisor. The International Programmes Department may engage with the student to revise the focus of the Capstone Project to ensure it can be more suitably matched to an expert in the field.
